Former Top Gear co-host Richard Hammond has reportedly been air-lifted to a hospital following a car-crash in the Swiss mountains.

Hammond was filming for his new show The Grand Tour when the incident took place. According to local sources, Hammond was driving a white Rimac Concept One electric sports car on a road that was closed for the Bergrennen Hemberg race, when the vehicle caught fire. Local police spokesman Gian Andrea Rezzoli confirmed to local outlets that one person was injured and brought to hospital, with several sources stating that the injured person was Richard Hammond.
