A major incident has been declared after a suspected gas explosion at a house in Swansea on Monday.
Emergency services are currently responding to the incident at the junction of Field Close and Clydach Road in Morriston.
Swansea Council leader Rob Stewart said it was not yet known if "there are any injuries or fatalities".
Pictures on social media appear to show one house completely flattened and another seriously damaged.
South Wales Police are urging people to avoid the area.
The force and the Welsh Ambulance Service said they were called just after 11:20am to a report of an explosion at a property.
According to local Facebook groups, a house exploded on Clydach Road near Cwm Arian - and it was completely destroyed.
It has been claimed that up to 20 houses were damaged in the explosion, but this is yet to be confirmed, The Mirror reported.
Morriston Town AFC football club said it was "devastated" to hear the news and said locals should not hesitate to contact the club and come in to keep warm, the BBC reported.
