Donald Trump won’t pursue any investigation into Hillary Clinton

Another climbdown from the President Elect

Another policy that he’s softening on.

The spokeswoman of President-elect Donald Trump has revealed that Hillary Clinton will not be subjected to a criminal inquiry.

“I think when the president-elect who’s also the head of your party … tells you before he’s even inaugurated he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members,” Kellyanne Conway told the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.

In a  dramatic reversal of the rhetoric that he uttered on the campaign trail, it appears that Trump will not be following through on his pledge to “lock up” Clinton, his Democratic opponent.

“Look, I think, he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them,” Conway, who is now on the Trump transition team, said in the interview”.

“I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy, but if Donald Trump can help her heal, then perhaps that’s a good thing”, she said.

Earlier this month,  President-elect Trump also softened on his approach to Obamacare stating that “I told [President Obama] I will look at his suggestions, and out of respect, I will do that,” Mr. Trump said. Either Obamacare will be amended, or repealed and replaced.”.

The above statement stands in stark contradiction to a speech that he made  in the Philadelphia suburbs that was dedicated to blasting the Affordable Care Act when he vowed, “When we win on November 8 and elect a Republican Congress, we will be able to immediately repeal and replace Obamacare””.
