A rival of the Apple iPad been given a massive discount for Black Friday.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 has been slashed by 57% as part of Amazon's sale.

The online retail giant officially launched its Black Friday week sale on 20 November, which will run until 1 December.

Thousands of deals are expected to be released across the week, including this latest deal on the Samsung tablet.

Usually priced at £209, you can now bag the Galaxy Tab A9 for £89.99.

The popular tablet has a 8.7 inch screen, with a large, bright display even in bright conditions.

It has 128GB of storage, so you can save hi-res files, and store all your favourite images and entertainment.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 has divide screen with two sections, so you can multiply your productivity with Sketch, view visuals, and video chat at the same time.

More than 3,000 shoppers have tried and tested the tablet, giving it an average rating of 4.5 stars on Amazon.

A number of customers have compared it to the more expensive Apple iPad models, with one saying: " If anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative to a iPad mini, then take a look at the Samsung A9 tablet."

"I wasn't expecting too much out of it and I'm very impressed by this little tablet. It was easy to set up & customise. It's very responsive and is perfect," they added.

Others said, it "was bought to replace an actual iPad as it is a fraction of the cost so superb value" and it's an "iPad mini alternative" with "good battery, streaming quality and wonderful size".
