This little-known iPhone trick cranks up the volume on your speakers

Say hello to Loud

Rich Cooper

The iPhone can produce a fair bit of noise, but there are times when you’d like to get just a little more volume out of it.

I like to wander about the house listening to music or podcasts, but if I have to do the washing up or something noisy, the phone can get drowned out. I’m sure plenty of other saddos who never leave the house like me have experienced the same problem.

Thankfully, there is a sneaky little secret that can give your phone a bit of a volume boost, as helpfully demonstrated by @thebaemarcus below.

What you need to do is go into Settings > Music > EQ and hit the ‘Late Night’ setting. Be sure to be playing music when you do it and you should hear a jump in volume – amazing!

I just tried it and it nearly blew my face off. I no longer have a face. But boy, my iPhone is loud, and that makes up for the lack of a face.
