Shark has cut the price if its 'game-changing' portable fan that has received rave reviews online as one of the best fans on the market.

The Shark FlexBreeze HydroGo cordless fan is usually priced at £129.99 but Shark has cut the price to under £99.99, matching the cheapest ever price, a week before Amazon Prime Day.

The fan, according to Shark, can cool from up to 20 metres away and includes a water resevoir to spray a fine mist and keep you cool during hot and humid temperatures. The fan has five different modes include a breeze mode to replicate cooling wind conditions.

A reviewer said: "It's quiet, the battery life is more than ample, the fine misting is a game changer to quickly cooling down when necessary and it really is fine enough not to feel dampened, just colder. It's pricey, but with a 5yr registered warranty it's a long term purchase."

Another added: "After years of buying cheap fans that break quickly and end up being a waste of money, I finally decided to invest in a higher-quality one and now I completely understand why it’s worth spending a bit more. This fan is a game changer!"

The fan can be used while plugged in but also has a battery so that it can be used without a power socket. It can also be used outdoors and is waterproof so that it can even be used in rain.

Shark is moving into the fan market, where it offers alternatives to the expensive but top-rated Dyson bladeless fans. Shark is one of the handful of big name brands that will cut prices next week as part of the Amazon Prime Day sale.

The four days of discounts starting from 8 July will be the longest-running Amazon Prime Day ever with thousands of items reduced for Amazon Prime members.
