Let’s-a go!

To celebrate Mario Day (aka: MAR10), Google Maps have released a new update that will let you navigate the road as Mario Kart.

The day in honour of Nintendo’s mustachioed plumber-turned-racer was technically on March 10 – but it turns out that you will be able to Mario Kart all journeys for a whole week.

To get started, you first have to make sure that your app is totally up to date.

All you have to do is put in your destination and choose you method of transportation as a car.

At the bottom of the screen, right beside the spot where you’d normally see ‘start navigation’, you’ll see a ? question box.

Once its pressed, you’ll get a prompt to enable ‘Mario Time’ – and, instead of a navigation arrow, Mario will pop up on screen.

It comes as Nintendo confirmed they are currently working on a mobile version of the game called Mario Kart Tour that will be available on iOS and Andriod.

Not much else has been revealed about the game as of yet, but we can go ahead and assume that it’ll include all our favourite racers from Toad to Princess Peach to Bowser. Even Yoshi!

Seeing as the mobile game is still in the works, it’s thought that it’ll be available for download by March 2019.
