This is the best news of 2017 so far.

Diamonds, graphene and the Nokia 3310 – scientifically-proven* to be the three hardest things on earth. The latter was more hardy than a tank and as reliable as fuck. It never broke down; it never smashed; and the battery life was immense. It was simple, effective and brilliant.

Over the years, the iconic model has achieved legendary status as the one of the most loved and respected handheld designs ever. Its technology and functions may not have been groundbreaking, but it still holds a big place in most of our hearts.

Now, quite unexpectedly, comes the exciting news that a brand new version of the 3310 is being released very soon.

HMD Global Oy, the Finnish manufacturer with exclusive rights to phones under the Nokia brand, are going to unveil the re-release on February 26 in Barcelona. Better still, it will be priced at a bargain £50.

They are purposely targeting the European marketplace to take advantage of the huge retro appeal of the model, and their hope is that nostalgic fans will purchase it as a second phone. We cannot bloody wait.
