Zlatan Ibrahimovic just ripped the piss out of Paul Pogba in Sky interview with Thierry Henry

Poor Paul Pogba...

It was always going to go down like this.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in a rich vein of form as Manchester United look to close the gap on Liverpool when the two sides meet at Old Trafford this weekend.

Although Ibrahimovic has missed out on United’s last two matches, he is expected to be fit and raring to go for the weekend and will hope to add to his impressive 13 Premier League goals this season.

The Swede only has eyes for the big prize at the end of the season, stating he has already “conquered” England from a personal perspective.

Unwavering self-confidence and an ability to speak his mind makes Ibrahimovic a very good interview guest.

So it is no surprise that Sky Sports pundit and former Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry, sat down with the 35-year-old to discuss a range of topics from arriving in England to fighting back against his critics.

The interview, however, quickly became light-hearted thanks to the unexpected arrival of Ibrahimovic’s teammate, Paul Pogba.

Just look at Ibra’s face once he spots the Frenchman.

Immediately, Ibrahimovic starts to tease Pogba.

Ibrahimovic: “Come, come. If you want to sit between two big players then come here!”

Ibrahimovic then continues answering a question which Henry had asked him earlier but it doesn’t take long before Pogba’s presence puts them off track.

Ibrahimovic tells Pogba that he will be taking the free-kicks at the weekend, after Pogba hit the post in United’s recent 2-0 victory over Hull City in the EFL Cup.

Henry: “When are you going to get top goalscorer?!”

Pogba: “Just tell him to give me the free-kicks.”

Ibrahimovic: “Did it go in? No, so I’m taking the next one. I said to him, if you score, I’ll leave it for you, but you will get one possibility. I was watching and hoping it went in. I’m sorry Pog! But it will come.”

Ibrahimovic then offers an odd proverb to explain Pogba’s lack of goals.

Ibrahimovic: “When the lion is not there, the cats will come.”

As Pogba tries to leave the two, Ibrahimovic offers one last barb to the Frenchman.

Pogba: “I’ll leave you guys, you are two legends.”

Ibrahimovic: “You just put down the ratings, so leave the stage! We lost followers now, so leave so we can get followers back!”
