Hardy has been arrested on multiple charges

WWE legend Jeff Hardy has been arrested on multiple charges, which include a third DUI offence within 10 years.

The 44-year-old, who is currently contracted to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), was arrested shortly after midnight on Sunday in Volusia County, Florida.

The Volusia County Corrections website, as per Metro, states that Hardy was arrested for an alleged “third drug or alcohol-relayed DUI offence within 10 years, driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled licence and violation of restrictions placed on a driver’s licence.”

Former world champion Hardy, who has previously spoken openly about his struggles with addiction, is scheduled to appear in front of a judge on Tuesday (June 14) afternoon.

Hardy is set to appear in the next episode of AEW Dynamite

Hardy is also set to feature in Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite alongside his younger brother Matt against the Young Bucks and Jurassic Express for the tag team championships.

The former WWE star has been alongside his brother since being released by Vince McMahon’s company in December, making his debut appearance in the AEW the same day he technically became a free agent.

Earlier this month Hardy teamed up with his brother for a ‘dream match’ against the Young Bucks at AEW Double Or Nothing, where he was almost knocked out and doesn’t remember anything from the night.

“I was happy with the match, especially considering very early on in the match Jeff was almost knocked out,” Matt recalled in his podcast, the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast.

“So he got hurt pretty bad. That’s why he’s being pulled from the match in Los Angeles, obviously. So he was kind of running on fumes going through the match. So he still held up his end of the bargain pretty good in the big scheme of things.”
