We’d imagine that William Hill aren’t best pleased with what they saw during England’s game with Switzerland.
William Hill are one of the English FA’s biggest sponsors and proudly displayed their name on the electronic advertising boards surrounding the pitch – but their rivals went one better and for free.
Due to the fact that Wembley hosted rugby league’s Challenge Cup Final on August 29 – sponsored by Ladbrokes – the logo was still visible on the Wembley turf, meaning millions of viewers were receiving the subliminal message to bet with them instead.
What were the odds on that happening?
