William Hill are one of the English FA's biggest sponsors and proudly displayed their name on the electronic advertising boards surrounding the pitch - but their rivals went one better and for free.
Due to the fact that Wembley hosted rugby league's Challenge Cup Final on August 29 - sponsored by Ladbrokes - the logo was still visible on the Wembley turf, meaning millions of viewers were receiving the subliminal message to bet with them instead.
