World Rugby weren't about to let Sonny Bill Williams' kindness deprive him of a hard-earned Rugby World Cup winner's medal.

The All Blacks centre gave away his medal in a bid to cheer up a young supporter who was needlessly tackled by a security guard as he took to the field to meet his heroes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1efwKglwZU And Williams' generosity was rewarded at Sunday night's World Rugby Awards as New Zealand skipper Richie McCaw was called to the stage to present Williams with his new medal.
