Wayne Rooney's record-breaking strike against Stoke yesterday has prompted unanimous praise for the United skipper's achievements.
Becoming the all-time top scorer for Manchester United is a feat that transcends the usual club partisanships and the 31-year-old has been drawing tributes from across the Premier League.
But as the adulation has mounted some have gone a little over board in their efforts to praise the striker... *cough* Alan Shearer *cough*.
And it seems now even Jack Wilshere has fallen into the ludicrous hyperbole trap - well if the reaction from Arsenal fans is anything to go by.
After Rooney reached the 250 goal mark his England teammate tweeted:

The reaction from Gunners fans was swift, and unambiguous.
