Sitting down together for a joint interview on BT Sport this week, Gerrard reveals that he once received a letter from Mourinho after a charity game at Anfield and it was so moving that he decided to frame it and hang it on his wall.
The former England captain explains that the letter was: "A very touching message and the letter is now in a frame, pride of place in the house. That's what it means to me.
"It was a nice touch which shows what he gives to players off the pitch and even players that have been a rival...he's still humble and a gentleman to write me a letter."
