Ronnie O'Sullivan is one of a kind.

The Rocket, without question the most gifted to ever pick up a snooker cue, has created a storm at the Welsh Open after deliberately playing for the pink in the closing moments of a potential maximum break. With just a pair of reds remaining in the fifth and final frame of his 4-1 win over Barry Pinches, O'Sullivan asked the referee and tournament officials what the prize money was for a 147. Upon being told it was just £10,000, the former world champion proceeded to play for the pink off a subsequent red. https://youtu.be/2YGFkzJ7Ooo O'Sullivan went on to clear the table and record a break of 146, missing out on a 14th career maximum, and confirmed that: "I could've got on the black and made the 147. To make a max is a massive achievement, but there's only £10,000 for it." Naturally, O'Sullivan's actions got a mixed response... https://twitter.com/Ladbrokes/status/699247629033725952 https://twitter.com/GrahamSmithh/status/699244637282816001 https://twitter.com/BradleyKhan/status/699249811451744256 https://twitter.com/wombat2820/status/699246810074841088 https://twitter.com/Andymccabe29/status/699247161859514368
