This match had it all.

After winning 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the semi-final first leg Chelsea, managed by Roberto Di Matteo, travelled to Barcelona for the rematch.

The first half didn’t exactly go to plan for the Blues. Sergio Busquets put Barca ahead with 35 minutes on the clock and John Terry was sent off just a minute later for kneeing Alexis Sanchez in the back.

It looked like the tie was over when Andres Iniesta made it 2-0 just before half-time, but Ramires halved the deficit on the night – and put Chelsea ahead on away goals – with a wonderful chip just before the whistle.

Barcelona piled on the pressure after the break but, after Lionel Messi hit the bar with a penalty, Fernando Torres raced clear to settle the match and induce a ‘goalgasm’ from Gary Neville…
