Valentino Rossi's MotoGP title hopes have suffered a huge blow - of his own making - after he was penalised for KICKING a rival rider off his bike during the Malaysian Grand Prix.
A bad-tempered rivalry has developed between the Italian superstar and Spaniard Marc Marquez and Rossi allowed his frustrations get the better of him at this morning's race in Sepang.
Following an overtaking manoeuvre by the Yamaha rider, Marquez drew back alongside, only for Rossi to stick out a leg and appear to shove Marquez off his bike and onto the track.

Fortunately, Marquez was unhurt, but Rossi's bid for a seventh MotoGP title has been severely damaged after officials handed him a three-point penalty and forced him to start the season's final race at the back of the grid.
Rossi leads Jorge Lorenzo, who finished second in Malaysia, by just seven points and now needs to finish second in Spain in two weeks' time.
