National League Eastleigh came close to landing a shock in the FA Cup third round.
Leading against Bolton Wanderers of the Championship, it took a late Darren Pratley equaliser to send the tie to a replay.
But the game very nearly didn’t even get started.
The winter weather had taken its toll on the pitch at the Silverlake Stadium, and almost saw the game postponed.
With some reports claiming that some Bolton fans helped with a spot of grounds maintenance before the game, the match was eventually given the go ahead – but after seeing the video below, we have no idea how (although we’ve all probably played on much worse).
