We’ll have to wait just a little longer to see both the middleweight debut of Rashad Evans and the long-awaited comeback of Tim Kennedy.
The monster 185lbs fight was removed from UFC 205’s bill on Tuesday when the New York State Athletic Commission denied Evans a licence for undisclosed medical reasons.
Evans insisted he was fine and looked in tremendous physical condition on his way down to middleweight for the first time in a long and storied career.

Rather than find a replacement for Kennedy, who hasn’t fought in over two years, the UFC opted to postpone the bout, with MMA Fighting reporting that the organisation is working on getting the bout moved to UFC 206 on December 10.
UFC 206, which will take place in Toronto, is in need of a big bout boost, as it is destined to struggle given that it is wedged between the monster pay-per-views UFC 205 and UFC 207.
What better way to get an injection of interest than with a former UFC light heavyweight champion, aiming to get his career back on track at a new weight class, taking on an army veteran who holds a win over the current 185lbs champion?
Let’s all just keep our fingers crossed that UFC 205 doesn’t lose any more fights in the coming days.
