Demetrious Johnson would want to renegotiate his contract pretty soon.

The salaries for UFC 197 have been confirmed – and Jon Jones was, far and away, the biggest earner.

‘Bones’ was paid a straight up $500,000 for his fight against Ovince St. Preux. Jones took the victory by unanimous decision but was not signed on for any win bonus. The defeated St. Preux earned $55,000 for his five rounds of hard yakka.

That’s a good chunk of change, but it is worth noting that Conor McGregor pocketed $1m for his UFC 196 loss to Nate Diaz.

Demetrious Johnson TUF 24

Shockingly, flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson’s salary was a paltry $135,000. He got an extra $60,000 for once again defending his belt in style.

Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis earned almost as much money for losing his lightweight encounter with Edson Barboza.

Here, courtesy of MMA Fighting, are the confirmed pay-outs and bonuses.
