Two Liverpool stars are a major doubt for the club's upcoming Champions League clash with Bologna on Wednesday.
Posted on X today, Liverpool fan channel The Redmen TV posted an image of the training session which threw out a worrying revelation.
The page posted that all players were present with Andy Robertson and Darwin Nunez returning to training, however, there were two key absence among the squad.
As reported by The Redmen TV and later Sky Sports, both Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa were absent from training.
Ben Dinnery from The Athletic reported that Jota had picked up a foot injury at Molineux against Wolves while there is little information about the nature of Chiesa's absence.
However, Jota's injury is said to not be serious and he could return to training soon.
Liverpool fans have been reacting to the news on social media, citing Jota's persistent injuries.
One fan said: "Jota simply can't be relied upon as our starting 9. Time to accept it and start moving him into a squad role."
Another fan wrote: "Diogo Jota is absent with a minor foot injury while Darwin Nunez is back in training. Maybe it's his time."
Meanwhile another user put: "Injury woes again? Not great, Reds."
Missing two key players from their attack is not what Liverpool need against a good Bologna team who will be relishing the occasion to play at Anfield, however. The Reds will be hoping to have enough depth to not worry about this latest setback.
Liverpool vs Bologna kicks off tomorrow night at 8pm.
