Twitter tears Rio Ferdinand to shreds over Michael Owen-esque tribute to Johan Cruyff

The footballing world was rocked by the sad passing of Johan Cruyff, the godfather of Total Football.

The Dutch legend died aged 68 after losing battle with cancer. Cruyff, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in October of last year, died on Thursday surrounded by his family members after the condition deteriorated. Obviously, tributes have been flooding in for the football icon, but some have been better received than others.
