Liverpool chase Benteke
Liverpool have put Christian Benteke at the top of their transfer wish list as they prepare for a summer overhaul, report the Daily Mirror.
Benteke has been in brilliant form since Tim Sherwood’s appointment at Aston Villa, and is thought to have a price tag of £30m.
The Belgian could be joined at Anfield by James Milner and Memphis Depay, who are also attracting interest from Liverpool as they brace themselves for a £50m bid from Man City for Raheem Sterling.
City look for attackers
With Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic both heading towards the Etihad exit door, Man City are on the lookout for replacements.
As well as a £50m move for Sterling, the (not for long) champions have been linked with former Chelsea winger Kevin De Bruyne, Burnley’s Danny Ings and Southampton’s Jay Rodriguez, who hasn’t played all season because of a knee injury.
De Bruyne has enjoyed a brilliant season with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, while Ings would be a low-risk option when his contract expires in June.
United target £100m Bale
Man United are expected to make a £100m move for Gareth Bale in the summer as the winger considers his future at Real Madrid.
Bale has been booed at the Santiago Bernabeu on a number of occasions this season, and is thought to be frustrated with his treatment by the club’s fans.
United could offer him a lucrative exit, though, with any deal potentially involving David De Gea moving in the opposite direction.
