Tommy Fury agrees to Jake Paul fight while showing hilarious stipulation

Could the Paul V Fury saga be coming to a close?

The on-again-off-again relationship of Jake Paul and Tommy Fury may finally be coming to a climax as Fury has agreed to fight the YouTuber-turned-boxer. There is, however, one slightly bizarre and yet gut-wrenchingly funny caveat.

The jabs between these two fighters are yet to reach the ring and instead tend to happen via social media. Despite both parties continuously saying that they will fight each other, nothing has been set in stone – however after Jake Paul called out Fury once again earlier this week – this time sharing a contract of the fight – Fury apparently agreeed to the terms.

Sharing an image of the contract on his Instagram story on Thursday (October 7), Paul wrote: “Do we have a deal? @tommyfury.”

The contract seems pretty standard at first – but it soon reveals the most abnormal condition. Upon closer inspection, should Fury beat the youngest Paul sibling, he will be given $500,000 straight from Paul’s pocket. However, should Paul win, Tommy has to legally change his name to Tommy Fumbles for an entire year.

“We have a deal,” Fury replied on Instagram.

“Get that sent over to my lawyers ASAP right now. We’ll get that looked at and sorted because there’s not a chance in hell you are winning this fight. You’re leaving on a stretcher. You’re getting knocked spark out and you know it. Get it over to me now.”

Sharing another video on Twitter, Paul said: “Ladies and gentleman, the bank robbery has commenced”.

Though his dignity is now on the table, Tommy would probably lose the family name anyway if he lost to Paul.

“It’s a great fight to watch, it’s a spectacle. But Tommy – his name’s Fury. If he can’t beat Jake Paul, I’ll have to change his name,” Tyson Fury, Tommy’s older brother, recently said.
