Tom Huddlestone reminds Alex Bruce that he’s still a Hull player following Friday night tweet

It's not January yet, Alex

Alex Bruce, despite more than likely being a better footballer than the majority of people that read this, is probably still best known for being Steve Bruce’s son.

Now 32, the defender was signed by his old man for Hull City a few years back, and remains on Humberside despite his father’s departure over the summer.

Nowadays, Steve is in the managerial hot seat at Villa Park as he attempts to guide Aston Villa back to the top flight following last season’s relegation.

On Friday night, Villa had to settle for a 1-1 draw away at Brighton, despite taking a lead after 20 minutes.

Alex had clearly been keeping an eye on the match on the south coast, and took time out to tweet about the result following the full-time whistle.

Although he was probably just supporting his dad, the tweet sparked numerous replies from Villa and Hull fans alike who all seemed to take it as an indicator that Bruce was set for a January move to Birmingham.

Tom Huddlestone, Bruce’s teammate (for now at least) also noticed his tweet. The former Spurs man helpfully pointing out that his mind should be on Hull’s Premier League meeting with Sunderland tomorrow.
