Adam Peaty couldn't contain his emotion after his 100-metre breaststroke final victory, swearing twice during his interview with the BBC.
The swimmer defended his Olympic title on Monday, securing Team GB's first gold medal of the Tokyo Olympics in the process. He posted the fifth-fastest time in history in his victory and became the first British swimmer to ever defend their Olympic title.
In a brilliant interview with the BBC just moments after the win, he twice dropped the f-bomb, unable to contain his joy and relief at defending his title.
He said: "It's the best person on the day, who's the most adaptable – and really who f*cking wants it more.
"It just means the world to me. I knew it was going to take every bit of energy and I'm just so f*cking relieved."
He added: "Apologies for the swearing, I'm very emotional."

Peaty was probably the closest thing to a certain-gold that you could find at this Olympics. The 26-year-old has now not lost a 100m breaststroke race since 2014 and has single handedly posted the 16 fastest times in history.
I think that as one of the greatest swimmers Great Britain has ever produced, no one's going to blame Peaty for the odd slip of the tongue.
