He’s a German international with more than 200 Bundesliga games under his belt and plenty more in the Champions League, but Tim Wiese is about to turn over a new leaf.

The 34-year-old, who quit football in 2014, has spent the last two years getting into shape for his professional wrestling debut. And now he has received a date for his WWE bow.

Wiese will take part in a six-man tag team match in Munich on November 3, teaming up with Cesaro and Sheamus to do battle with the Shooting Stars and Bo Dallas.

Wiese retired from professional football after taking up bodybuilding, and officially joined WWE earlier this year with the blessing of wrestling icon Triple H.

He spent the bulk of his career with Werder Bremen, playing four straight years for the club in the Champions League from 2005/06 to 2008/09, and was part of the team that twice finished second in the Bundesliga.

His first WWE appearance came in Frankfurt, before he officially signed with the promotion, but the November event will mark his first entrance into the ring.

And he will be in good company – Sheamus is a huge Liverpool fan, and the ideal candidate to team up with the biggest name to cross over from football to wrestling.
