We would love to see this type of honesty catching on.
Certain people believe that footballers in the modern era are out of touch with fans.
It’s very likely that you’ve heard all of the following; ‘they’re media trained within an inch of their life,’ ‘they get paid too much money and have no idea about the real world,’ ‘they’re only playing for the money’. They’re just a few examples of the phrases that are uttered.
To be fair, interviews with players are often dull affairs because nothing too explosive or interesting is said, but there are those rare moments when players deliver some absolute gold in front of the TV cameras.
For example, who can forget Craig Bellamy’s withering assessment of Wales’ standard and the views he held towards their opposition, Finland.

God’s honest truth, fans just want to see that their idols care about the club and theta they’re passionate about playing football. A few months ago, the world was treated to a glorious interview from South Africa when Mohammed Anas said that he would like to thank my wife and my girlfriend,” for his man of the match performance.
Not to be outdone, Dove Wome was speaking with the media after his club, Supersport United, drew 1-1 with Maritzburg United.
We’re getting memories of that famous moment involving Micah Richards here.
Remember when the Manchester City defender had to speak with the BBC after he scored that dramatic goal against Aston Villa in the FA Cup?
Well, a similar incident has happened here.
