In the first few weeks of the 2019/20 season, two of the biggest stories in English football were those of Bolton Wanderers and Bury FC - two historic teams whose very futures were under threat due to a failure to provide the funds to ensure the day-to-day running of the respective clubs. But while Bolton received an eleventh hour reprieve when they were on the verge of expulsion from the English Football League, Bury were not so lucky. Two weeks ago they were kicked out of the league system, and are now left to ponder what's next.
