The Manchester derby will reportedly be played on a Thursday

We're sure Jose Mourinho won't have any complaints about this...

Manchester United face a very busy final few months of the season.

United could play up to nine games in April alone. Mourinho’s team are currently scheduled to play West Brom on April 1, Everton three days later, and Sunderland on April 9.

The club will then face Anderlecht in the quarter-finals of the Europa League on April 13, champions-elect Chelsea three days later and Anderlecht in the return leg on April 20.

United are also scheduled to visit Burnley on April 23 and host Swansea City on April 30.

However, the Manchester derby also has to played.

United were due to meet Manchester City at the end of February, but the game had to be postponed due to United’s involvement in the EFL Cup final against Southampton.

According to ESPN’s Mark Ogden, United and City will play at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday April 27.

Neither club will be involved in European competition that week, as City were knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco, and United’s tie against Anderlecht takes place a week beforehand.

United and City are said to have agreed upon that date, but it has yet to be officially confirmed.

Pep Guardiola’s side are due to play Middlesbrough on April 29, but that fixture will reportedly be put back 24 hours to Sunday April 30.
