The England team to play The Netherlands has been named

Gareth Southgate has named his team for England’s friendly with The Netherlands.

England take on the Dutch at The Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam on Friday night, as the team begin their preparations for the World Cup. Southgate was expected to name an experimental side for the match, with several question marks hanging over the side.

England are without guaranteed-starter Harry Kane, who is recovering from an ankle injury. Jack Wilshere was expected to play in his first international since the defeat to Iceland at Euro 2016, but picked up an injury in training. While there were doubts ahead of the match about who would start in goal.

Jordan Pickford got the nod to start in goal and Marcus Rashford starts up front. There are also three-full backs in the side – Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose.
