Spurs reportedly issue Man United with hands-off warning over defender

With Manchester United’s options at full back well and truly exhausted, it now appears a surprise move for Arsenal’s Mathieu Debuchy is definitely off.

With Arsene Wenger reportedly blocking a move, it’s now being claimed that United could have turned their attentions to a left back at North London’s other club.

The Mirror report that any approach by Louis van Gaal for Danny Rose will be rebuffed by Tottenham, who have issued United with a hands-off warning.

United are said to have been keeping a close eye on the 25-year-old, with their manager seeing him as an ideal temporary option until the likes of Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo return from their injury problems.

Rose has found himself in competition with Ben Davies so far this season, encouraging United to look at acquiring Rose.
