One person joked: "Should award him the Nobel Peace Prize".
Another added: "Where was he when Bowyer and Dyer needed him", referring to the fight between former Newcastle teammates Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer, who were each shown red cards for scrapping with one another in 2005.
