Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min broke up an argument between two opposition players during South Korea’s 2-0 victory over Chile in Daejeon.
Son, who captained his country, scored South Korea’s second goal of the match in injury time, but also received praise for his professionalism by stopping a potential clash between Chilean defenders Paulo Diaz and Benjamin Kuscevic.
After exchanging verbals with each other, Diaz and Kuscevic came together on the halfway line to barge into each other.

However, Spurs forward Son intervened before tempers could rise, immediately pushing Diaz back towards his original position and holding Kuscevic back with his arm.
Chile were reduced to 10 men shortly after half-time in the defeat to Son’s side, with Alex Ibacache being shown his marching orders.
How did social media react?
Son’s intervention sparked a positive reaction on social media, with users praising the 29-year-old for stopping the Chile players scrap.
One person joked: “Should award him the Nobel Peace Prize”.
Another added: “Where was he when Bowyer and Dyer needed him”, referring to the fight between former Newcastle teammates Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer, who were each shown red cards for scrapping with one another in 2005.
A third wrote: “Greaten human being in history?”
Son enjoyed a successful campaign last season, winning the Premier League Golden Boot with 23 goals and helping Spurs back into the Champions League in the final week of the season.
He has made over 100 senior appearances for South Korea, scoring 32 goals.
