And after winning the club's Player of the Year award, there is no doubt that he has attracted interested from other top clubs.
One team that has reportedly taken interest in the 27-year-old is Barcelona.

With only a year left on his contract, question marks could be raised as to whether United would cash in on Herrera but they do have the option to extend his contract by a further 12 months and are thought to be willing to offer him a long-term contract.
Herrera would be deserving of it too after a man of the match performance in the final against Ajax and the overall thrust and tenacity of his play from midfield.
