Bilic could be dismissed on Wednesday

Slaven Bilic is reportedly likely to be sacked by West Brom on Wednesday, despite his side earning a draw away at Manchester City on Tuesday evening.

However, after a poor start to life back in the Premier League, West Brom sit 19th, and the club’s hierarchy have been considering whether to make a managerial change for a number of weeks.

While the BBC report that senior figures in the club have pleaded for the Croatian to be given more time, West Brom’s Chinese ownership are believed to be close to relieving him of his duties.

Speaking after his side battled to a 1-1 draw at The Etihad on Tuesday, Bilic appeared relaxed despite speculation about his future”

“I’m very calm. I love my job, I enjoy it and I’m working hard for myself and my staff for the club.

“Everything else is out of my control. I’m just doing my best. I’m not bothered what’s happening behind the scenes – I don’t care.”

Sam Allardyce, a former West Brom player, is already being tipped to replace Bilic if he is dismissed although Sky Sports report that no approach has been made for the former England manager. Nigel Pearson, Mark Hughes and Eddie Howe have also been mentioned as alternatives.
