Erik ten Hag wants big changes in the summer
Erik ten Hag is reportedly planning a big summer clear-out at Manchester United.
United were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Newcastle United on Sunday as goals from Joe Willock and Callum Wilson dealt them a blow in the race to finish inside the top four.
Should Tottenham beat Everton on Monday night then the Red Devils will drop out of the Champions League places altogether and into fifth place however they will have two games in hand on their rivals.
After a disappointing loss – which saw United have just one shot on target – Ten Hag is looking to clear out more of his deadwood with the Manchester Evening News reporting that up to six players could leave Old Trafford at the end of the season.
Alex Telles, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams, Dean Henderson and Anthony Martial are all set to be made available for transfer this summer.
Ten Hag is also said to be ‘losing patience’ with Jadon Sancho, who has played just 15 times in the Premier League this season.
The United manager is said to want the club to be more ‘ruthless’ in the transfer market as he attempts to reshape the squad.
According to The Athletic number of high-profile targets have been identified as they bid to move closer towards the long-term aim of challenging for the Premier League title again.
Harry Kane is strongly linked with above while they are also strong admirers of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and young Brighton and Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.
