Serge Gnabry scores SIX goals in four games and Arsenal fans get very excited

They are demanding Arsene Wenger finds a place for him in the team

Arsenal fans have had yet another disappointing transfer window as famously frugal Arsene Wenger has been watching the pennies again.

Gunners fans are crying out for reinforcements, especially when it comes to goals, but so far this summer the only signings have been Granit Xhaka and youth prospects Rob Holding from Bolton and Takuma Asano from Japanese side Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Emirates regulars simply are not convinced that Olivier Giroud can bring enough goals to mount a serious title challenge.

But is the answer already within the club?

Youth player Serge Gnabry has been flying at the Olympics this summer, and last night he netted his six goal in just four games for the German side.

He spent the first half of last season on loan at West Brom, but was recalled after making just three appearances for the first team.

And now Gooners are calling on Arsene Wenger to get him in the first team ASAP.

Wenger would no doubt be delighted if the young German is ready for a first team spot.

The long-serving manager was again forced to defend his transfer market strategy this week, insisting that the obsession with new players is not always healthy.

“What is very difficult in the modern game is that there is always the demand for new. But new is just new. The first day a player drives in here, it’s new. After six months, it’s not any more,” he said.

“What is new makes news but apart from that it makes noise, it’s not necessarily always quality.”
