Northcutt had been criticised for tapping out early during his welterweight defeat to Brian Barberena, throwing in the towel when Barbarena engaged an arm triangle in half-guard - though he later revealed that he shouldn't have even been fighting that night because of a serious case of strep throat.
But after stepping into the UFC 200 card, Northcutt has gone about rebuilding his reputation after fighting out of nasty-looking armbar during his decision victory over Marin.
Still, as talented a striker as he is, his appearance is often more talked about than his talents in the octagon. And the more we learn about his life, the more you realise he's been working his entire life to be where he is now. Hell, he's been in shape for as long as he can remember.
"I know how hard I've trained since I was a little kid," Northcutt told Yahoo!'s Kevin Iole last December. "I've been dieting for 15 years."So perhaps we shouldn't be surprised to see that the American was rocking a six pack as young as seven-years-old. https://twitter.com/sagenorthcutt/status/754710993310056448
