A late winner from Celtic winger James Forrest sparked an altercation between Kent and Brown and ended with Brown lying on the ground.
Kent has since been 'offered' a two match ban by the Scottish FA, who have opened disciplinary proceedings against the player who scored Rangers' equaliser on Sunday.
Rangers' Alfredo Morelos and Andy Halliday were sent off in Sunday's game, but Kent escaped a dismissal on the day as the incident was not seen by officials.
He will now be retrospectively punished.
