Rosberg accuses Hamilton of ‘driving too slow’. Erm…

Matt Stanger

Lewis Hamilton was blasted by teammate Nico Rosberg after cruising to his fourth Chinese Grand Prix victory.

The two Mercedes drivers have exhibited a tetchy relationship this season, with Rosberg accusing Hamilton of “compromising” his race on Sunday by “driving slower than was necessary”.

But Hamilton, who now holds a 13-point lead over Sebastian Vettel in the championship, wasn’t interested in the German’s complaint.

“It’s not my job to look after Nico’s race,” he told Sky Sports. “My job is to manage the car and bring the car home as fast as possible and that’s what I did. I didn’t do anything intentionally to slow the cars up.”
