Roman Abramovich’s daughter Sofia has shared anti-Putin and anti-war posts on Instagram following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The 27-year-old, who stayed with her mother after Roman and Irina Vyacheslavovna Malandina split in 2007, has voiced her opinion on the current situation between her native Russia and Ukraine.

Russian president Vladimir Putin ordered his military forces to invade Ukraine on Thursday on multiple fronts, with tanks moving across the border and ‘hundreds’ of Ukrainian troops reportedly dead.

She posted an Instagram story which featured a graphic that appeared to show her opposition to Putin, with the word ‘Russia’ replaced with ‘Putin’ alongside the caption: “Putin wants a war with Ukraine”.

It comes after Chelsea owner Abramovich was effectively barred from living in Britain ever again in the future.

The Russian billionaire withdrew his application for a British Tier 1 investor visa in 2018 following reported delays in his application. It came after criticism of Russian oligarchs in the wake of the Salisbury poisonings.

It is thought that senior security sources claim it is unlikely that the 55-year-old will ever be allowed to live in Britain again.

Abramovich was named by MPs on Tuesday as one of 35 oligarchs identified by Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny as the ‘key enablers’ of the ‘kleptocracy’ run by president Vladimir Putin.

Abramovich denied links with the Kremlin and claims he has done nothing to merit sanctions imposed against him.
