Manchester City's pathetic attempts to hold on to their Premier League crown took another embarrassing twist on Monday when they lost 2-1 to Alan Pardew Crystal Palace.
It now looks almost certain that Manuel Pellegrini will depart in the summer, with the club's board thought to be unimpressed at the Chilean's performance in the Champions League and the team's collapse against Chelsea's title challenge.
