We've had a mammoth... *checks notes* slightly more than a month-long break since the last Premier League season ended but now we have been confronted with the reality we are handed every year: the Premier League never ends.
In spite of this tone, we are looking forward to the new season, so much so that the fixture list has got us reminiscing about previous seasons, and - in particular - previous opening days.
