Well, the transfer window sort of got out of hand, didn't it?
The transfer window has finally shut. Can't believe it. Wanna run to you.
It started with a whimper, with few if any big sides making moves before, during or after the World Cup. Yes, we had one or two marquee signings here and there, but it seemed oddly quiet, almost too quiet.
They say however that the calm comes before the storm, and today proved that this old adage is true.
Earlier on transfer deadline day we had Manchester United linked with so many defenders that it appeared at one point that they might bid for Phil Jones again. Alas, it wasn't to be.
The biggest transfer earlier in the day was Kepa Arrizabalaga, who joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao.
Further transfers continued throughout the day, but it was in the last hour of the window where things became so frantic that you'll be forgiven for not noticing which ones actually went through.
So here you go, for your enjoyment and education, here are the main Premier League deals which went through towards the end of the transfer window.
Carlos Sanchez - Fiorentina to West Ham United
Bernard - Shakhtar Donetsk to Everton
Andre Gomes - FC Barcelona to Everton (loan)
