A pole vaulter who became famous after his manhood clipped the bar, denying him a chance of an Olympic medal, has reportedly been offered a staggering amount of money to star in adult films.
Pornographic site CamSoda has apparently offered French pole vaulter, Anthony Ammirati, a deal worth $250k.
Ammirati’s attempt to get over the bar at 5.70 metres went viral after footage showed that he cleared the bar with his lower body but clipped it with his manhood on his way down.
He was distraught as he failed to secure a medal, finishing 12th in the event but he probably got more attention on social media than all of his fellow competitors combined.
However, he now has the opportunity to earn some extra cash from this unfortunate incident.
CamSoda vice president, Daryn Parker said in an interview with TMZ: “If it was up to me, I’d award you for what everyone else saw, your talent below the belt.
“As a lover of crotch-centric activities, I’d love to offer you up to $250,000 in exchange for a 60-minute webcam show, in which you show off your goods, minus the crossbar, of course.”
The 21-year-old spoke after the incident telling the French Athletics Federation that it was ‘a big disappointment’.
He said: “I’m a bit gutted because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70m. What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session.
“The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress. As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to interact with the audience. I was almost there.”
He did not mention what the rest of the world was talking about though and is yet to respond to the offer.
