Plenty of supporters on Harry Redknapp’s side as Birmingham announce his departure

There's a lot of sympathy out there for Harry Redknapp this evening.

The veteran manager has been sacked by Birmingham City after just eight Championship games this season. Redknapp managed to keep the Blues afloat in England's second tier last season, having taken charge of the club with three games remaining in the campaign. Two victories towards the tail end of the season saw Birmingham finish two points above the relegation zone and Redknapp was soon offered a one-year deal to stay on at St Andrews.
