We know Piers Morgan isn’t a fan of Arsene Wenger, but with Arsenal sitting in second place in the Premier League and through to the Champions League knock-out stages, you’d think he’d give it a rest at the moment.
The lifelong Gunners fan couldn’t help having another dig on Thursday, however, as Jose Mourinho’s exit from Chelsea was announced.
The thing Morgan seems to be forgetting is that Arsenal have never been in a position as bad as Chelsea’s at the moment – just one point above the drop zone after 16 matches – in the entirety of Wenger’s reign.
Meanwhile, Wenger has led the Gunners into the Champions League in every single season, whereas Mourinho never looked likely of reaching the top four with the Blues this season after an abysmal start…
