Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed he turned down more money from the Premier League in order to join Borussia Dortmund.
In an interview with L'Équipe, the man with 21 goals in 21 league games this season admitted he twice rejected the bigger wages in order to do what he felt was right for his footballing career. Now, at 26 and absolutely flying high, it seems Aubameyeng did right playing the long game. He did, however, pass up the opportunity to play under Super Alan Pardew at Newcastle.
