Deadpool is one of the most popular flicks on show right now, with thousands heading out to see the Merc with the Mouth in the past week.
For years the film had been put on the back-burner as executives worried that viewers would be turned off by the disfigured image of Wade Wilson – aka Deadpool – without his costume.
While audiences have loved him anyway, a fair few moviegoers have noticed that Deadpool himself bears a resemblance to recently-retired Irish rugby legend Paul O’Connell once he takes off his mask.
Throughout his career, fans joked that the ginger giant was a superhero, but we’re not quite sure this is what they meant.
