Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton was the victim of a bizarre episode of mistaken identity at the PFA Player of the Year Awards on Sunday evening.
After it was decided by his fellow professionals that he was worthy of a place in the Championship's team of the year, the 27-year-old's name featured in the programme.
Much to Clayton's amusement, the descriptive lines that accompanied his name were dedicated to a different player - Danielle Carter of Arsenal Ladies...
